Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Jackie Brown’ Prequel Role In ‘The Switch’ Made Director Cry

Jennifer Aniston stars in the “Jackie Brown” prequel “The Switch.”

Jennifer Aniston hasn’t appeared onscreen in over a year, but the actress could have her biggest role coming to theaters soon enough.

Aniston, who last led the 2012 flop “Wanderlust,” stars in the untitled upcoming film based on the Elmore Leonard novel “The Switch.” (The book is the first Leonard novel to feature Ordell Robbie and Louis Gara, characters made famous by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown,” itself based on Leonard’s “Rum Punch.”) Aniston plays an abused housewife in adaptation and her performance is so powerful that it made the film’s director emotional.
